Serving a long-standing Gerotto customer, the Gatto Mini Excavator robot enabled the company to intervene at a construction site and dispose of 40 tons of material in twelve hours.
Borgo Spurghi is a multiservice company that is involved in debris suction, civil and industrial purging operations, asbestos removal and disposal, and environmental remediation. The company relied on Gerotto to have a tool that could add value to the power of the Suction Excavator, which had been previously used during rubble suction operations.
In particular, Borgo Spurghi chose the Gatto model, from Gerotto’s Mini Excavators robot range, during an intervention in which it was necessary to remove tiles and lower the floor level by 40 cm. Since this was a renovation of a tavern, it was necessary to use compact machines capable of working in a poorly ventilated environment, zeroing out exhaust emissions. The possibility of placing the Mini robot Gatto’s control unit outside the tavern allowed it to operate in a healthy and safe environment, precisely because diesel emissions remained outside the construction site.
In addition, the operational power of the Mini Excavator robot allowed 40 tons of material to be removed in 12 hours, optimizing the time to complete the work, which, without the use of the Cat, would have had to be done manually by multiple operators, resulting in longer times.
